w3 is done with the knife on soft at whatever pressure you need .......the lighter means more time but here I've used about 60% pressure for quickness ....et voilą!

What a fabulous tutorial!!!!!!!!!

Really clear and, dare I say, deceptively simple for such an amazing effect!!!

Wonderful wonderful.

The key to making it work that I see you doing is that when you lay (scribble) in your thin lines initially, you are doing them in perspective, where they're tighter vertically the farther away from the viewer you get. And that plays out the illusion of depth so very well.

Really amazing. Looks like some highly rendered 3D water without the big wave segments -- which not having is appropriate for a lake.

What a gift to everybody, Pete. Thanks so much!

You better believe I'm tucking this technique away for later use when the time comes.

I like the HighLake2 version without the beamlight going thru the cloud. It's just has different feel to me.
