You just keep getting better and better.

Fantastic. Nice broken mark style. Has a real rhythm. Interesting how the BG reflects the hair. Whether directly intentional or not, it has a unity around which all else pulses. But it does not interfere with the girl's appearance. It's almost like the whole thing is an ornament to and around her without being rigid or formal. The painting describes her very well, I think.

In my mind's eye, I think know her type based on what you have done -- the type who can make beauty out of anything in her environment -- very earthy. Perhaps even a Zen sensibility as the rows remind me a little of a Zen garden with the sand raked in rows, though not slavishly reflective of that. Yet I get a kind of "Ah, so" flavor to this portrait.
