lizard skin

Hello Everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has any idea's on how to paint lizard skin.
Looking for scale ideas. even dragon skin would be good.

I'm not somewhere that I can do a full tutorial, but play around with putting the round glitter down on a layer, then painting over the top on another layer. I did that on this picture, and I think it would work out for scales or lizard skin if you worked with it.

thank you! I'll give it a try. I've also found that working with course canvas helps with a "scalie" look
