    Distant strike

Last night I watched a violent storm over the mountains ( I'd guess around 30 miles away)

so I took some mental photos and tried to reproduce what I'd seen today.

I'd say you captured it extremely well. This kind of scene is hard to pull off (for me)

    Drillin' rabbit holes ain't always a breeze. . .

Looks like you struck oil though, if not pay dirt.

Very grim. Excellent depiction of natural menace. Well done, Pete. You're showing your wide open range and you can do more than pleasant skies.

Firstly a BIG thank you kind friends.............secondly, a word or two in explanation of the phrase "mental photo".

I really envy people who can compose and snap a good photograph because I happen to be one of those who, given a camera, ruins any picture I try to take..........true!

So I have to rely on images that have entered my mind and try to interpret what I can remember of the incident.

This one was so vivid that I didn't seem to have much of a problem.......................but I have tried to do this before and it all ended up in the trashcan.

    So thanks again!!

This is fantastic Peter. The weather seems to have gone crazy at the moment. Lots of flooding over here and even a tornado. I long for a good summer.
