    Anthony Hopkins - Artrage/Illustrator

I started this in Illustrator and then moved it to Artrage to do the blending and enhance details. I find this works best for me. I've tried painting straight-up before but I could never progress past a certain point in my work.

I'm still not where I want to be, but I'm moving forward.

Thanks. I tend to go back and forth between raster (Artrage) and vector. I guess the vector would be considered my underpainting.

This is how far I got with vector:

Oops. It's telling me I have to post more in order to post URLs. I will show you the vector version when I have posted more.

Well You did pretty well! The likeness is impressive and You seem to have pursued a very cold form of technical perfection probably in order to deprive him of a specific personality (since he's such a great and flexible actor to play any character) and You used a sort of topological sketching of planes or rather level curves on his face.
    Panta rei (everything flows)!

I really like the first one where you seem to have created a great depth in the contours of the face to give an almost 3d effect.
    Well done.
