Quaternary geology research assistant, armchair paleontologist. Moderately accomplished amateur artist with interest in prehistoric wildlife/scientific illustration while also dabbling in science fiction and fantasy.
Been using ArtRage on and off since 2004. Recently bought a new Wacom tablet and with the bundled ArtRage install I'm reacquainting myself with art after a dry spell sorting out my life.
Below are those recent works treating more or less seriously the recent description of a giant feathered tyrannosaur, Yutyrannus huali. The current challenge now is emulating my pencil technique in digital format with the more serious drawing and perhaps see if I can channel Wayne Barlowe with the less serious one
