My first stickers

These are my first attempts at making stickers. Under Gallery I'm putting a painting made from these two. I hope I posted these correctly. Sorry for the weird names but that's how I roll.

I love these so much. So, so much.

I want to make 3-D stickers, but it takes me a long time to learn, well, anything . I want to sort through the tutorials again and see if I can work it through. I am re-inspired. Your coils are gorgeous.

In your finished piece, your stickers are fully integrated into the painting-- so far, I can only make stickers that hover above the painting. I love the glow of your flowers. Beautiful.

Sueellen, glad you're having fun with these.

I have to admit something here. I tried and tried to learn to do this in
Artrage, going thru the info in the manual and also tutorials.
I could make simple red ones without shading just fine, but wanted to add the shadows
and highlights. I experimented with the texture mapping and gloss, and no
matter how light or dark i did those they barely showed up, if at all.
I'm sure i'm doing something wrong but don't know what! I wish there were
a class in Artrage with a teacher standing here next to me.

So... I went into Photoshop (i have a real old version, 6 i think, but it suits my occasional needs).
I used layer styles (bevel, emboss, etc.) and did them in there, saved as .png files and imported to Artrage for stickers.
I was thrilled with the results.

and thanks for letting us know how you made these - I never thought about using Photoshop for sticker creation
