    Tied Pool

This is another piece started as Plein Air, and finished at home. Down about 200 meters from our place is a little back water tide pool. Something new is always getting caught by low tide. This little boat was the latest. Orig size appx 12x16" at 200 ppi. One layer. Oils. (BTW- The spelling in title is intentional)

Very lively and atmpspheric. Well built and the attention is immediately attracted by the boat.
    Panta rei (everything flows)!

Skylar... nice work .. the intimate little back water and small un-moored boat are all really well painted. there is one unsettling distraction to my eye that that is the very white area depicting the bay behind the boat it seems to want to jump out from the canvas instead of laying flat behind ( on the other side of the sandbar) if you know what i mean... it could be because the shoreline is curved and the white is so bright without detail that it becomes a dominant shape... anyway just my take...
