I love this image! Great mystery, but not at all disquieting to me, almosting refreshing and embracing ...
Panta rei (everything flows)!
Clear night so that we can see faraway, nice one P.D.![]()

Very nice PD, like this one a lot![]()
PD... great image love the frozen trees and clear night sky with the huge moon... good job buddy!...
Wow! Powerful. Great design. Love the light trees below against that sky and blood moon. The Moon takes on a bit of a Mars feel, which in itself is evocative. Quite a contrast in that symbolically in addition to the contrast in the picture. Strong in that it is all very clearly stated.
Bartender, fix me a moon river. . .in a TIFFANY GLASS!!!!!!!
Thanks everyone. I tried to pick up the blood color of the Harvest Moon last week {?} particularily on the horizon where it is magnified by the distance the light has to pass through the atmosphere. Makes for a big moon. The cold crystal clarity is real. Windless, there is nothing to scour the heavier colder air collecting in the valleys. Everything is heavy, even sound.
But as Caesar suggests, it can be something entirely else. Such as a clear, warm beautiful night in Italy where everything is just right. Never been there, but felt that.

"OH, SHINE ON, SHINE ON HARVEST MOON UP IN THE SKY.
I AIN'T HAD NO LOVIN' SINCE JANUARY, FEBRUARY, JUNE OR JULY
SNOWTIME AIN'T NO TIME TO STAY OUTDOORS AND SPOON,
SO SHINE ON, SHINE ON HARVEST MOON - FOR ME AND MY GAL !"
A great one PD, love it!![]()
Moonious and arresting. Breathtaking and cold. This is so awesome and centre stage. Agree with comments of Caesar and D Akey. This was a good screen refresh surprise
2nd visit, I also like the feeble wispyness of the trees versus the bold orb of the moon. I really like this

If I were marooned on a desert island, air drop me a copy of Artrage Studio Pro! (Plus a laptop and crank handle)

I very much appreciate your grateful comments to this painting. Though I will admit, I do not know how I did it or if I could ever repeat it.
