Blade Trinity, one of my favorite Snipe films.
I was making a rabbit hole design, and I thought, wow, this looks like a slayer tool on Blade. I looked for references on the internet-found one that appealed to me, so here I am trying to sketch him.
I airbrushed to define features, but as you can see up close I need to work on the nose and chin and ear, and the sunglasses, shirt, tattoos, anyway....have a lot of detail work to do.
I am using the hair tool for his hair and mustache. I am using airbrush, knife, and pen so far. I will go over areas with watercolor glazing.
Any ideas are welcome, and thank you.
One more edit-sorry. I wanted to add a freehand sketch of Blade as I did before I used airbrush and knife.

Working with Blade's sunglasses-different from photo, and clothing designs as well. I need more references for clothing and detailing.
I did not paint photograph-this is free hand airbrush and copy from photo.
Now on to layers above skin for texture and more detail.
Still not happy with nose and ear, so I will work on them a bit more. Also the shoulders I think should be wider.
Thank you Enchanter, much appreciated! I wish I had saved the beginning of his face. His features are so defined he was a pleasure to paint. Also he is one of my favorite characters, this was a big help.
Now, worked a bit more with the ear, and added my own imagination when it came to the clothing.
I think I shall work a bit on his nose and chin tomorrow. Long day today, but a good one.
Made first with black-add new layer and use lines with pen or pencil.
Collar was pen with tapered edge.
Take eraser and make patterns.
Duplicate this later and flip horizontally using difference setting.
Add new layer and use pen for designs.
I hope I found the correct screen shots.
I used the masking tool to cut around the mouth and move.
I made adjustments to chin area and added side beard.
Clean with eraser.
The next step is a matter of using square masking tool to make banner behind Blade. I used the text tools for his name.
I combined all parts of blade and duplicated.
In this duplicated layer of blade, I pulled underneath layer.
In upper tool bar color setting-I removed all light,contrast,color etc.
Enlarged Blade and moved.
The frame-masking tool, airbrush, metallic paint, effects...etc...
I will now upload it into the main gallery.
