A Bug

A sketch of a bug I just made up, to try and experiment with colors and brush strokes again. not blending this time. Background was a last minute decision using the chalk tool.

This is a very nice painting of a bug. I like the sparkle of the eyes and the use of color on the body.

One comment I would like to make is that if this is an alien bug, it would be OK. But, if this is an earth bug, it should have six legs and all the legs should be coming off the middle section of the body.

Yep, I did think of the missing set of legs but decided to just go with it as this was what was in my minds eye. As you say it lends a more "alien" feel to it.
