    Smile Onenote

My first post here..Just to point out .. Both touch gesture and pen pressure works in 2010 x64 MS Onenote using the same Wacom ISD Driver. There is no reason AR could not adopt the same standard; even though it is not standard with MS. My 2 cents. Though you have a prototype EP121, it should still be functioning as the production units. Just have all you bios, OS and drivers updated. Stock WACOM Pen driver come with EP121 is written by ASUS themselves in script for 32 bit OS and it is not written by Wacom.

It seems Artrage has succeeded convincing Wacom to update their ISD-Tablet driver.

    Just a couple of notes:

Wacom provides drivers to vendors who can then make alterations if they want for their tablets, the base driver is written by Wacom not by ASUS, as confirmed to us by Wacom during discussions regarding this device. Additionally, our prototype unit won't accept some of the current updates, as confirmed by ASUS when we discussed the issues with them previously.

As driver configurations start to support Realtime Stylus properly issues should quickly start to fix themselves. We've already seen some prototype hardware from the next round of releases that we're working fine with out of the box. At the moment, we're stuck between different companies requiring different standards and unfortunately we can't support them all perfectly without significant rewrites that would be rendered obsolete soon anyway.

    Works well

Good work, and thumbs up for Artrage Team. We just have to waiting for ASUS.

Unfortunately, portrait mode offset is still outstanding. Realtime Stylus works. You have to turn off Wintab in preference.

after I updated Art Rage to 3.5.4, I lost my multi-touch in both art rage and my win7 environment. I was able to get it back by uninstalling EETI PCAP from device manager and rebooting. However Art Rage only allows zoom when Use Touch Input is disabled. I'm new here and was wondering if a solution was reached for this problem.

ArtRage 3.5 supports the standard Windows Realtime Stylus and touch systems so it's possible that configuration you had to make it work in version 3.0 needs to be changed.

If you go to the Input section of the Preferences panel make sure that Use Wintab is turned OFF and Use Realtime Stylus is turned ON. Windows uses Mouse Wheel events for scrolling on Touch so by default the application will use those events to move the canvas around, if 'Ctrl + Mouse Wheel = Zoom' is turned ON then mouse wheel events will pan the canvas. Turn that OFF and mouse wheel events (which may be sent by your system when you try to zoom) will cause zooming.

Updating to the latest version of the drivers for your device may help if you're experiencing touch problems in Win7 in general - ArtRage doesn't install anything that changes the touch behaviour on the system so something else may have triggered the change.
