Hello all,

I've used ArtRage for a short time but have been reading the forum for a little while. I thought I would join the ArtRage community with an introduction post.

What better way to start off a first post than to create my avatar and to get the community to give me some feedback on my drawing?

The drawing is a puffer fish (fugu) in pencil all done in one layer. The background is another layer with a fill of a light gray color.

Thank you all for everyone's kind words. I am quite excited about being part of this community.


My background is that I doodle all the time, so doing pencil drawings was an easy transition from physical to digital. Almost everything I did on ArtRage was black and white pencil drawings. I may progress to color at one point in time. Maybe I'll even go beyond the pencil.


I am quite amazed at the art that are posted in the forums. I'm still trying to get the hang of the software and even limiting myself to the pencil working with black and white, there are so many variations that can be accomplished with different paper, grain size, pen pressure, pen tilt, and softness.
