I gave the oil brush another try ... i call the painting 5 more minutes.
The oil brush is so different to use than the airbrush, i find it difficult to work with .

Thank you for all those lovely comments. (:

Jasper: It's true, working with oil is probably the most contrary you can get to the airbrush. Have you tried blending the colors with the knife and then changing the knife's settings to Blur? Usually works better that way for me :P

Sophiya: In artrage 2.6 you can't change the knife to blur. I use the "soft" knife to blend, but this blend slows my computer down, alot .
    I will keep practicing though

Here's one I did a long time ago in oils with AR 2.

Sir Francis Drake's boat the Golden Hind.

That's very nice. Can you upload a closer look at the ship? I'm just curious how much detail you added. How big was the painting? I bet this one would look fabulous printed.

Now that I have 10 posts I can finally post these images here. Working with oils, this was my first project in AR3. It's a memorable moment from me and my wife's last trip to Brazil. It was our honeymoon. I painted this after we returned for her birthday. The second is an image of the detail at the rocks. I have some other detail shots in my gallery.
