Am I wrong to see many features of and a likeness with his great artistic granpa on his tender face? It wouldn't be that unusual for a baby to look more like one of his/ her (in this case) granparents rather than parents ....
Finally, independently from emotional considerations, this is a fantastic artpiece executed in a very simple and elegant style!
