Dragon painting "do-over" ...
After I did that dragon painting a while ago (the one with it flying in the sky among clouds), I realized that I wasn't satisfied with it, so I set aside a goal of mine to revisit it at some point and give it a complete do-over. This painting is the result of my having worked on that goal. I must say, I'm quite pleased with the final result, and I hope everyone else is, too.
This painting is by far the biggest one I've done to date on ArtRage Studio 3 Pro (23" x 19"), so be sure to view the painting in its true size if you want to get at every detail in the subject matter. Materials used: 1) paint roller (with 100% load volume), 2) knife palette, 3) oil brush, and 4) essential canvas. Two layers (foreground and background). Enjoy the painting!
(Feedback, as always, is welcome.)
Oh my goodness! If I were a damsel I would DEFINITELY be in distress
if being approached by this most intimidating, fire brandishing, scales of
lizardly green dragon. Just love the fearful huff and puff presence ... a
painterly force to be admired although I am very happy that you are
keeping him contained well behind my viewing screen. Great painting ...
just love this and ... brings out the fight or flight in me!
