Old Quarry

I have had this painting around so long and it had some issues that needed to be resolved. I fixed it up as best I could and am calling it done. I'm not in love with it and any quarry-man could pick it apart! So be it, done is done. To me it's just shapes.

Hello Hello Jibes!

Love this one! Yanno, there's an old ghost town near Bishop, California that an old friend and I used to travel up to. It was far back into the Sierra Nevadas and there was an old iron ore mine and lots of old western buildings. When I saw this image, somehow it brought back visuals and memories of that place. We used to love walking around with a metal detector finding old relics, coins and unfortunately a LOT of rusted, holey soup cans. LOL Great image Jibes!

I'm actually very relieved that you said that Jibes. So many of these paintings are thought and memory provoking and it's hard not to burst out with a related story. The only thing is, I always hope that my reference to an image when I see it doesn't offend the artist! That would be awful and I would never intend that.
