Burden
As she so movingly portrayed, it often falls to art to carry the terrible burden of history. Forgetting is a luxury we cannot afford.

That was a very moving piece indeed, i sat in awe, as she moved swiftly from one scene to the next, i plan to watch it again and again until in understand the story she is actually telling, what an Artist, what a Medium, it's perfect in every sense, the sands of time anyone
EDIT: After thinking about it, i think i understand what the story was. It's a story of her childhood, translated in sand, she was the little girl, in the window, her Mother and father met, they were going to have the child, he had to go to war, she was saddened, he returned from war, and they lived happily ever after

The artistry is certainly fascinating to watch. It seems to be the story of one family's experiences of living through the time of the
Reichskommissariat Ukraine (late 1941 through early 1944). A story of young lovers separated by war, and a child who doesn't get to see its father until his return in 1945. Small wonder so many in the audience were in tears. Powerfully emotional stuff and no doubt something every Ukrainian child learns in school.
Nice find Phil. Thanks for sharing.
