Northern River at Dusk

I'm working on this picture of a river. I liked the composition of it. I am staying with one size of oil brush, using a limited pallette and working on one layer only.

Looking good Barb. Once you get it blocked in, consider going back at it with some smaller tools (brush, pen, pencil) for a little more detail in the foreground and on a second layer. Those choices are always up to you of course.

Hi Barb, you can do a smart logo with your wright down corner part of the image.

Dany - Thanks for the advice about the watermark - I actually have a personal one I made in Photoshop I usually use for my images, but decided to just use the one in Picasa on this screenshot.

Perhaps you don't know that the new Picasa 3 beta has some VERY cool new features, like the exporting with a watermark - you can also take screenshots instantly as long as the program is running, just hit the screenprint button and it instantly saves and you can crop etc (plus its FREE!) You can also make embeddable slideshows and movies (with music now) which could come in handy for making tuts or showing off your painting process. I love it for quick fixes etc!

Hi Barb, Thank you for the advice concerning Picassa3 beta ,I have it but I don't use it much for the moment, I use CopyRightLeft actualy as I am use to it.
When I say about logo I didn't think a logo for paintings but for a page or as signature or some thing like that; I ad the image to see what I ment.
