Welcome to the forums and to ArtRage.
The best advice for now is: open the program and play around with all the tools. Get acquainted/accustomed with how things work. Then, open a new painting and have at it! When you come across something you can´t figure out, you´re always welcome to ask questions here. Even without questions, you´re welcome here.
Have fun!
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.
Hello Steve and welcome to the ArtRage forums. If you're looking for help with ArtRage a good place to start is the "Tips and Tricks" forum area here at the ArtRage forums. You'll find them here:

If you're looking for help in general on how to draw and paint (whether it's with a digital program or using traditional materials), I'd suggest doing a video search at YouTube. While you might not find many digital paintings done with ArtRage (though they are on the rise), you will find many useful techniques that were done with other programs that can also be done with ArtRage. Here are some videos I put up there, which might help you get started as well:
This first set of videos were all done with ArtRage:

The following speed paintings were done using the "Graffiti App", but can easily have been done in ArtRage as well:
