Man, look what I've been missing! Some excellent monsters here... some scary (Enchanter's will give me nightmares o.o) some cute, some both :P I don't have a submission yet, but I know what I want to paint ^^ I'll try to have it done by next week.. but my main reference will be a text description.. so we'll see how it turns out XD

also, to give someone else ideas... I was tempted to do the Jabberwocky (google it, it's a poem :P ) but decided on something else^^

Cookie Monster was an unexpected, but nice addition too ^^ and speaking of Jim Henson, I just made a campus visit yesterday to the college that he graduated from, the University of Maryland and near the end of the tour, we had to all go inside, because someone thought they saw a Cougar on the campus XD and then our tour guide left and never came back... kind of like a monster movie O.o lol

And last but not least, welcome to the community Arkadiy I liked your monsters too :P I'm seeing improvement between your first monster here and your second already ^^ you'll be pro in no time! I'm kind of a beginner too. I recently found a way to paint that completely changed the look of my stuff. Try new things, and you'll find new tricks that work well

Dear Draco91, Hello!!!! looking forward to seeing your 'new way' monster addition, sounds like 'The Cat People On Campus" thing you've got going there, be very careful!!! did looked up 'Jabberwocky', thank you, and methinks the inspiration for Docter Seuss stories,,, a monster with rhyme would be fun!!!

Dear Lee- I'm glad you liked the poem.. it's one of my favorites :P and if you see the word "Vorpal" anywhere else, it originally came from the Vorpal Sword in Jabberwocky -- and no one knows what it really means XD they like to use it all over the place in roleplaying games like Final Fantasy now.

Unfortunately I messed up my painting to the point that I'm going to have to start over from scratch I'll get it done one of these days... I was going to paint the Leviathan from the book of Job in the Old Testament of the Bible, based only on the biblical description, but sometime near the end I realized I had taken parts of the Behemoth description and mistaken it for Leviathan
as a result, my "Leviathan" (sea serpant) had legs and a tail, and was very reminiscent of a dragon, which is completely different from both Leviathan and Behemoth

    here's mine...

Maybe more of an fish-like alien than a monster?

(Made from a sculpt I did in Zbrush. Used the ZB image as a stencil in AR and then painted everything in AR and blending a few layers).
