how to make a drip effect and swirls?

how does one manage to do tha "drip" effect with the green
and what is the canvas the artist has chosen, that corrugated look is so cool!

and does the the artist make swirls?

I hope you can help me out or if you know some one else who i could approach to ask the above.

well but those two links as peter posted are made entirely on Art Rage..

I would think the only way of doing swirls like that in ArtRage is with stencils/friskets. Possible from made from free clipart found on the internet.

The running green paint is probably just painted by hand.

In regard to the paper texture, I believe that is an overlay layer, maybe even more than one.

Add to that a bit of patience and good use of layers/blend modes and both pieces wouldn't be too hard to accomplish in Artrage.

for the swirls how did you create a shadow on your displayed image??

There are lots of free vector brushes around the web if you look. You can also design your own stencil as mentioned above.

Do you mean I can load different brushes into ArtRage like you can in photoshop?

no , you cannot load the brushes directly into artrage. You use the brush in photoshop>made in black on white background. Now save as a png file.

Then go to stencils in artrage and import the stencil there. some of the brushes out there require you give credit to the creator of the brush. But you should be able to make your own with any vector program. Just make the shapes you want..convert to grayscale and save as a png and import as a stencil in artrage.
