Here are a couple of action scripts to increase or decrease the opacity of the current layer by 10%.

This action script will make the current layer the only one visible, or if that's already the case it will show all other layers.

The actions/scripts panels are unwieldy. If you use an action/script a lot, it would be nice to assign a keyboard shortcut to it.

I think the idea is to record your painting as a script and then use screen recording software to capture the script playback so you can narrate as the painting paints itself.

No, the actions just switch to the next/previous mode along. You have to run it multiple times to work through the list. I'm glad it's working for you. :)
