If I select, cut, then paste to get a new layer Artrage 6 gives me the boot. in my actual work, I had many layers already, most hidden. To try and reconstruct the problem,
I created 6 layers: x, y, z, 1, 2, 3. My first 2 (or 3) select, cut, paste went ok. One more and I get tossed out and AR6 reopens with a new canvas.
I tied the same experiment with AR 5. I ended up with 11 layers and it did not crash...If that is of any assistance.
