I feel there’s an interesting and curious organic ambiguity about this one…
It’s late here and I need some down time right now, but I shall come back to this…
I do find this painting intriguing, I keep coming back to look at it…
Do I want more explanation about it? No, I’m not sure I do, I like it’s ambiguity.
One can read different things into it; water stains on a tablecloth, marks left by fallen petals or leaves, etc…
And, if on a different scale, I can also see echos of the translucent microscopic forms of organisms like nematodes perhaps…
Thanks Mark. I really like the Japanese notion of ‘wabi sabi’. Part of which is the beauty of things coming into and going out of existence.

very nice soft frosted look to this, it reminds me of dry autumn grass and trees cloaked in the first snow at the end of November. a very calming, very tranquil piece.
