Ghost of Christmas Past WIP

Yesterday I totally understood what "Art Rage" meant. I was totally taken by this rage to paint and I knew only this beloved little proggy could satisfy me.

The lines were done in Photoshop but all the coloring was done in Art Rage. The hair was the best part - doing the base layer color, then the light strings - the darker ones - I looooooved the process.

But now I am stuck with those damn flowers. I wanted to do the Christmas Red flowers (don't know their name - sorry) but with a candy cane feel and color.

This is like an attempt but it Highly sucks!

Andy tip or advice is welcomed.

This is turning into a nice painting, keep us posted. I would love to give you some tips, but I am not one that really should be given them. Sorry.

Almost forgot, really love the hair,very nice job.

The flowers are poinsettias.

I started Friday around 3pm - worked until midnight ; then worked from 8 am to midnight again on Saturday and from 8 to 3pm on Sunday - when I finally finished it :D

you do the maths ! I spent a lot of time doing the stencils in Photoshop - then using them in art rage -

the hair was the most demanding part : I did a base dark brown 100% metalic with brush pressure and big (so that we had the hair like texture) and on that I applied with the smallest size and lighter color the highlights on 3 different layers and finally in black (same settings) the black - darker lines to create the depth.

oh and yeah - all mouse work ;)
