Stunning and very accurate painting. It could certainly illustrate a book on wasps. :P
I've just watched a short vid clip on the largest wasps in the world, a type of hornet found only on a Japanese island called Honshu? Anyhow, here's the link to a National Geographic video clip of the hornets, they are ENORMOUS...

I'm sure you could frame grab the video and do some further artwork, this clip shows the monster hornets invading and robbing a colony of smaller yellow hornets. Loads of interesting material in there!
