Very nice work Marvolo. Well composed, and you managed to keep a consistency in style through careful selection of source photos and keeping key elements similar through especially the Harry Potter series. I bet if we saw another one somewhere, we'd know where it came from and smile.

Looking forward to your ArtRage work. Perhaps you can use the free version until you have the full one.

Hi Marvolo,

The problem with your stuff is that it looks so professional!
First off I think, why has somebody just posted a film ad?

Then I realise you have selected the shots, modified them, positioned them, blended and altered them. in a hundred different ways.
Worked with the strong diagonal line of HP and the sword. Made all the different colors complement each other. Added the text in keeping with the subject. Plus a lot of things that a PS muggle cannot even comprehend!

Excellent.

(The guy on the right still looks a lot like Fashmir! :D )

This posting seemed to have gone nowhere but it was probably Microsoft Defender hogging all the resources again!

One of the best you'v shared, Marvolo. I agree with Aged P (and he felt so strongly about it, he posted it twice!). (Update: Of course, not that Agd P changed the duplicate post, it looks like I'm imagining things!)

If you focus on drawing to the same degree, you will join your uncle in the AR hall of fame...

Learning PhotoShop is just fine. But I hope you invested in a good graphics tablet. You can realy make fantastic stuff in PhotoShop and especially ArtRage with a tablet.

If you are planning to get one I suggest you invest the extra money and get the Wacom Intuos series. I had the $100 Grapshire and never was happy with it. When I got my Intuos it made a world of difference. Universities should give art majors a discount on them.

Let see more of your drawings please...

Welcome back, Marvolo. I see you have a slightly different style that you did the harry Potter images. I used to go through phases when I created montages for sports teams for my wife (she is a sports fan, I am not - go figure!).

Very nice work you do. I was wondering if anyone here uses Art Rage 2 at all in the creation of textures-like those used in Poser 6 or other 3D programs. I just purchased Art Rage2 last week and I love it.
I do use more pricey prgs such as Zbrush and Vue 5..but Art Rage gets me back to more actual painting style which is very nice indeed! I am starting to use it for some of the textures for 3d models I have..as I like the fact you can import an image and use to see the texture plate.
I am still new to this program but the tips and advice I have found here are excellent!
Once I get something I am happy with I may post in the forum. Just wanted to hello and its great to a see a forum with such helpful advice.
