Hey neighbor. I really like this. I'd frame this one!
Very soothing painting. I like the color and the tree design.
Thanks for the comments...it's been awhile since I messed with Artrage, I had forgotten how nice and calming it is to smear the paint around without making a mess. :D

Again, thanks for the comments. Good to see old familiar names also!
So, another doodle, its all I have time for. Here is the original, and then again with a filter applied.

It is beautiful with those wonderful brush strokes looking like an ice palace. And the reflection on the water is awesome. What filter did you use? it is very cool.
ahhh, thanks...tis just a doodle. I used some sort of circle thing in PSP to make the painting round. I am fond of circles and spheres.
***Just a note...the above paintings are in reverse order...the first one is with filter applied, the second is the original.

These are great. A lot of your art you've posted here has this really nice delicate look to it for me, and I really like the colours in your sandcastle piece.

Thanks Robert, felfish and Selby!
I will have to try to find time for artrage at home this winter. All I manage these days are quick things at work. Here is something odd that I painted tonight. I was just trying to get a background, and then I thought it kind of looked like something was glowing under water...and well...this is it.

Fine pickle, cym.
If you had only been nicer to that ill-trained labrador retriever. This is when they come in handy, no matter how undisciplined.
Thanks for the comments! Some of them are way too kind and others gave me a grin.
Just some fun with chalk.

Wow Cym! You've outdone yourself with this one. This belongs on a wall!
Thanks for the nice comments.
It is always amazing to me that sometimes a doodle can turn into something pretty good...and other times you can spend hours on something that never seems to look right.

I always like your stuff Cym. :) Good to see you again.
Thanks to both of you!
After posting this I realized I have been painting and drawing versions of the same tree since I was about 13 years old. I also realized that I should never go out and invest money in real paint, unless I take some lessons first.

Nice to see you Cym.
Keep painting!
D, Good to see you still hangin' around. Haven't made it to Ontonagon lately, but hit Munising on the 4th of July!
Palette knife doodle
I just noticed I haven't been around since 2008..made me wonder just what I've been doing all this time. I don't have internet at home or even a decent computer, so I have forgotten what beautiful things are made here. Great to see
all the Ragers still raging.

cym,
Have decided to visit all of your painting here and your entries are just
beautiful pieces all. Your latest work is also quite impressive. The frigid,
baron landscape, even though you mentioned is not quite finished, has a
stark, empty emotional attraction about it as the lone, leafless tree seems
to ponder it's unforgiving surroundings in silent repose as if to say, "If only
the sun would once again shine." Reflective, thought provoking, poetic
and uniquely stylistic. :)
Thanks so much for the kind words. Inspire me too!
