Pulling back on the detail really shows off the orderliness of the design. Art Deco I would have to say -- purposeful and orderly like a clearly worded sentence. The trees indicate the vertical almost like a cathedral, the river flowing downward indicating movement back to the source, the sea. Gradient color moves the eye as much as the idea of water flowing.

It's almost a sketchpad taken along inside to make notes while deep in contemplation.

Calm, tranquill, serene this landscape presents all these things we so much long for these days... wonderful corner of the world... you've done very well, Bob :).
