15 lucky minutes of painting!
wow. now this is one i would mind printing out on canvas, about 4 feet wide, framing, and hanging in my living room.
i look at it and my imagination runs wild with what might be in the fog there. i love that. that's why art is inspiring to me.
thanks for this one! (and all, of course!)

Man, that's excellent. The boy with the kite sets off the scene wonderfully.
15 minutes? Wow - can I expect four pictures of this quality every hour then! ;)

Hi Andy,
It's the liquid black thing again.
That tip you gave me for creating a thinly coated wet canvas is the secret. A few touches of evening colours and some concentration on dragging them horizontally through, into and across the black.
It became a beach all on it's own. I just added the person with the kite.

i agree with andy, a great landscape on its own, the boy and kite just enhances it :)

Nice Aged P! Or should I say speed-P? 8)
This is great. My Dad taught me to fly kites when I was young, I can now get one up in very little wind and without running. I always say if you have to run to get a kite up, you're not doing it right. I would love to print this one out and send it to my Dad with your permission.
I love what you do with black canvas and getting the paint to look like light, you convey so much with an economy of brush strokes.

Hi Cwm,
I printed the pic out at about A3 and it still looked good.
There was a strange square mark in the sky which I have now painted out and updated the posted picture.

Doesn't that look like fun?

Hi FG,
It was just one of those lucky moments. I was moving paint around to make an interesting background and it sort of crystallized into a beach.
The beach was then crying out for a focal point. So it got a boy/girl with a kite! Then the voices in my head said "If you try and paint the string in and ruin it, we will make you so sorry!"
So I didn't!
