Am I alone in suddenly experiencing a lot more e-mails from people with ludicrous names who want to sell me things I don't want?
It may just be coincidence.

Heh. I already deal with that in volumes. I just do the best I can to filter and move on. It's the downside of human nature and the net. Push push push. I get tired of it but what to do.

Well, if they start trying to sell you artwork, you can call it Phainting!

Yeah, it might be generated by companies scanning the forum for email links. You can be assured we definitely haven't given any information out ourselves. But it could be an automated system scanning for people who have their email as part of their profile.
Unfortunately it's now a part of the world in which we live.
If you remove your email address from your profile, you can still get private messages here on the forum.

I am spammed all the time. I use Firebird as email client so it is no such big problem. All spamming is automaticly sorted out. And all other security is always on, double firewalls, viruscheckers and dynamic IP-adress. You can't be enough careful these days...
