I've been taking some great classes at the Digital Art Academy. This was done in one of the two ArtRage classes they currently offer. It was done entirely with a couple of brushes I created. I tried to upload the brushes to share here but the .zip file is an invalid file format and there are more than 5 files which is the max number of files for a thread.
