Hi all,

It's been a while since I last posted on the Artrage forums (http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4629&highlight=Trurl).

Frank Cho and Dough Murray had their "50 Girls 50" comics contest in October, where they were looking for an artist for a new comics series. Among other tools I used ArtRage in the making of my entry.
Because I didn't have much time to do the pages, I modelled the mothership and other miscellaneous objects in Modo, using Frank Cho's design as a reference, then I used these to speed up the sketching process. The sketches were made in ArtRage, on an HP TC4200 tablet pc. I used many layers and layer groups for each penciling (The average size of a .ptg file is about 100-150 MBs).
I inked the pencilings in Mangastudio.

I am as impressed with your high poly 3D work as I am with your illustrations. I think you will find that Artrage can provide excellent textures for your 3D work faster and with less difficulty than either Photoshop or Painter.

Perfect. I'd like to see this in color. It should be a video game story. You'd get more money selling it in video than in a comic book. Awesome job!
