Inspired by music

Hello everyone, this is my first thread/post on here, though i have been an avid reader of the forums. I often listen to music while i paint and decided to try and put the lyrics into a painting. I was listening to Nickelback "Far Away" and put the song on repeat and this is the girl i see in the words. So i thought it would make an interesting challenge for the members to pick a song and paint it (does that make sense lol)

I'm not a musical either, i just let the words or music paint an image in my mind then i try and put that onto canvas:)

was looking for the what can you paint in 30 minutes thread or the what can you paint in an hour thread... couldn't find it. Oh well, I was listening to the classical flamenco guitar radio station on itunes so I guess it could go here. :)

Oh a wonderful thread, I love working while listening to music, and music inspires me a lot, I'll post soon something... sorry if I'm so slow at painting, I'll try to work a quickly this time.

I think you have a great idea there! Very creative. I sometimes listen to music when creating some of my paintings and often it seems I am one with the painting and the music. I mean I find myself moving my tools in sync with the music. So far, I have used easy listening. I wonder what would happen if I listened to something really upbeat like pop or rock? LOL! :D Seriously though, I might try that. ;) I love the image of the woman you posted here. Fantastic work without something to look at. :) Blessings, Cathy
