Hi down under,
I have an ATIRadionx1300 that supports 2 monitors but is there any support to drag tools, pallettes etc?
cordially,

Right now, except for the reference picture and layers box, I believe all of the palettes are docked to the sides/corners. You can tuck them away or hide them, but not move them.

Gosh, I realize now that New Jersey is down under New York. I thought this went to New Zealand, silly me...
Oh, yeah thank you DrZeller

Ambient is based in New Zealand, but we have a lot of really helpful people on these forums who are great at answering questions. Thanks drzeller! =)
That's correct. Currently the tools and UI elements are bound to the window, and while you can move the elements on the edges of the window, such as the tool settings, swatches etc, the corner items such as the colour and tool pickers are set to the corners only.

Currently? as in: soon to be changed? :)
Sounds great, I know I asked for the tools and colorwheel to be moveable some time ago...

Many things change...
And having the ability to 'float' the palettes is on our 'to do' list. But it's a very very long list of things to do.
We're prioritizing the list, adding features to ArtRage we feel are a) Most needed, b) least likely to break the app.

amen to that, andy. I know what you mean. Now get back to the code and stop posting on the forum! ;)

Hehe. I wish I could tell you the things I've been working on for the past few weeks...
But you'll just have to wait until the next ArtRage release to find out.

wait.. so currently, I can't move my whole window over to my extra screen?
(I am on Leopard, using an extra monitor from my macbook)
I couldn't move the window over to the other monitor.. so I'm stuck here?
It'd be great if you could move it over to monitor 2.. (my other one's a 22", which is so much bigger than my 13" macbook.. )
thanks

They're just talking about the tool and color palettes and whatnots. You can move the Artrage window itself to whichever monitor you want (and if you can't, then that's a problem with your computer, not Artrage).

If you want to move the entire window from one monitor to the other, Window it, then drag it across. If you find you're having any problems though, let me know and I'll be happy to help. You can also email me directly at support@artrage.com

Thanks for the replies.. but I don't know how to 'window' it... it's just stuck to the bar on top, and I can't move it around...

Press the little button with the rectangle on it, right next to the "X" Close button.

Thanks, but I'm on a Mac. I'm very familiar with windows and its interface. On a Mac, it doesn't convert to a window..

Sorry for the lack of details in my previous post. The top menu bar of ArtRage itself ( where you see the undo and redo arrows ) will have a _, a box, and an X in it at the right hand side on OSX as well as Windows. Press the box icon and the ArtRage window should change to a 1024 x 768 sized window which can be dragged.
