View Full Version : Bowl & Orange
Still trying to perfect this alternate style of mine.. Hard for me to get away from crispness, but I'm trying hard.. I do like that there is much less time in each painting, and it's a lot less trying to my nerves.. Hope you all like it..:)

... and there's much more of Your personal signature and soul exhibition perhaps, dear Rick!
You are about to reinterpret a classical and materic approach that appeared several times in the art history and never ceases to astonish and be greatly appreaciated!
Superb work!
Thank you Caesar.. Yes, you are right, there is a lot more of me in the last two paintings, than that that is in the sharp flat lined paintings I do.. Thanks again..:)

Gorgeous work Rick. I see a bit of the Cezanne style in this. Love it. :)
Thank you.. Yes, Paul Cezanne indeed.. If I just had an iota of his skills.. Would I not be a fortunate man..;)

Rick,
This one is better than the three vases, though both are superlative! What I mean to say is, with this one youŽre getting a handle on your "alternative" style and it seems more natural.
Now look what youŽve done--created an expectation of a painting a day. To save yourself time, IŽd say go back to your other self, that "crisp, linear, photorealistic" guy that takes two weeks to do one grape. :D Just kidding!!!!
I think this alternative approach, as you call it, is every bit as good as anything youŽve ever done before.
